The cryochamber is a special cabin used in systemic cryotherapy. The procedure has well documented efficacy. It consists of the body being exposed to low temperatures. Many health benefits have been linked to this type of therapy.
The temperature in the cryochamber can be as low as -160°C. However, there is no need to worry that this temperature can cause harm to a patient. Sessions in the cryochamber are short - no more than 3 minutes. During this time, the body starts to defend itself by shrinking skin vessels and subcutaneous vessels, resulting in patients feeling less cold. After the session, the vessels quickly expand greatly increasing blood flow as well as causing an increase in metabolism. All this also leads to other changes in the body, including the initiation of regenerative processes and hormone secretion.
